Nurse Practitioner Job Summary:
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and consulting with patients, either independently or as part of a collaborative team. You will empower patients by educating them about prescribed treatments and preventative care. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough patient exams, performing physical assessments, ordering necessary tests, prescribing medications, and reviewing imaging results. You will serve as a primary healthcare provider and an essential entry point into our multi-disciplinary medical practice, ensuring every patient receives top-notch care.
Part-Time: 2-4 days/week Tuesday-Saturday
Nurse Practitioner Role and Responsibilities:
- Admit patients into the Personal Injury clinics located in Griffin, GA.
- Perform history and physicals for all new patients admitted into the programs
- Diagnose conditions and plan appropriate care plans
- Conduct patient clinics independently and in support of the programs
- Prescribe and order diagnostic tests, medications, and interventional procedures
- Refer patients for surgical consultation when necessary
- Prescribe and refer to ancillary services, including but not limited to MRI (Imaging) physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, etc.
- Educate patients about diagnosis, treatment options, treatment types, preventative care
- Provide leadership and guidance, and ensure cohesiveness for support staff, including but not limited to the MA’s and front office staff.
Nurse Practitioner Required Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree program from an accredited university
- Minimum of 2 years in an outpatient Pain Management, Family Practice or Urgent Care setting experience.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current APRN license in the state of Georgia
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Ability to travel to our satellite location in Union City is required. (preferred twice per week)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $55.00 per hour plus, depending on experience and availability.
Expected hours: 20-30 per week and can turn into a full-time position.
