Summary
Responsible for but not limited to operating assigned machinery. Operator ensures that the machine runs smoothly and is appropriately maintained. The essential role of a CNC operator is to operate CNC machines, load and unload raw materials or partially finished goods, inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Use drawings (blueprint), specs and instructions to operate CNC Machinery.
- Maintain or exceed job production standard.
- Sustain a safe, efficient, and clean work environment.
- Responsible for the general maintenance and clean-up of the shop.
- Organize materials, hardware, and tooling.
- Perform other job-related duties.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be able up to lift 50 lbs.
- Basic math and writing skills.
Education / Experience
- Experience operating Horizontal, Vertical or Lathe CNC in a heavy manufacturing environment (is a plus!)
- High School diploma or GED
- Measurement tools and blueprint experience preferred.
