Job Summary
Under supervision of Superintendent or designee, performs a variety of custodial work and general cleaning in and around assigned district buildings. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities_ (other related duties may be assigned):_
The following are typical duties and responsibilities.
- Cleans and maintains floors by sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing as needed
- Vacuum carpets, Spots cleans and shampoos rugs
- Washes cleans and dusts windows, mirrors, railings, walls, furniture, tables, benches, woodwork and other equipment as needed
- Empties waste containers and transport to the dumping area by hand truck
- Washes, scrubs, and disinfects rest rooms
- Replaces light bulbs; reports damaged buildings, broken equipment, and any safety/fire hazards to ensure safety of students and staff
- Moves and rearranges desks, chairs, tables, furniture, and other equipment as needed
- Sets up for and assists with special events
- Locks and unlocks doors, windows, and gates at assigned facilities. Sets alarms
- Sweeps and picks up trash and debris from black top and other assigned areas
- Participates in the thorough cleaning and restoration of schools and assigned buildings
- Performs minor groundskeeping work such as raking/blowing leaves and watering lawns, mowing, power washing
- Cleaning, sweeping, mopping, polishing, dusting, and otherwise caring for floors, floor covering, furniture, and restroom fixtures
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $21.38 - $34.22 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
