What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista/Cashier position at SOUTH BEND CHOCOLATE COMPANY?
Our Chocolate Cafe Barista is to be engaging, courteous and passionate about customer service. The Barista will greet customers, answer questions, take orders and accept payments, prepare and serve food and beverages, have knowledge and assist with the purchases of our delicious South Bend Chocolate products.
Success as a Barista will take commitment to providing customers with excellent customer service and assisting with maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Barista Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers, inform them of products and offer samples
- Prepare foods such as sandwiches, baked goods or ice cream
- Prepare beverages such as coffees, mochas or quenchers
- Clean and restock work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing
- Learn brewing methods, beverage blends, food prep and presentation to present and improve food quality
- Work as a part of a fun, fast paced team
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality control
- Arrive on time, appropriately dressed and focused on customer service
Barista Requirements:
- Exceptional listening and communication skills
- Ability to walk, bend and stand for extended periods
- Availability to work around peak hours, including evenings, early morning, weekends and some holidays
- A polite, engaging personality
- Commitment to customer satisfaction and excellent service
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
