Position Title: Financial Operations Budget and Grants Supervisor/Assistant Director
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000
Contract Length: 12 months

Basic Function:
Responsible for assisting with the administration of all federal, state, and special grants (ESSER, TSL, etc.). Review expenditures for compliance with guidelines. Monitor cash flow, making transfers as needed. Prepare financial reports. Oversee and train extra-curricular treasures. Oversee operations departments as well as operational finances, which include reconciliation of operations funds. Act as a liaison between operations departments as they pertain to local, state and federal funds.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation of the operations funds.
- Oversee operations department finances for Buildings & Grounds, Food & Nutrition, Safety & Security as they pertain to local, state, and federal funds.
- Prepare and monitor the budget and accounting records for all grants, from setting up the original budget to filing the final report and refunding any remaining money.
- Prepare reports for federal and state agencies.
- Monitor and train extra-curricular treasurers and perform audits as necessary.
- Monthly transfer of each reconcilement from Schools to Gateway.
- Oversee receipt process to ensure that proper accounting codes are used.
- Deposit receipts into the correct banks.
- Serve as back-up for cashiers and extra-curricular treasurers as needed.
- Balance and close the accounting system monthly.
- Assist with preparing and reviewing the Unified Athletic budget for each high school and the main office, working closely with Athletic Directors.
- Review operations financials, budgets, and contracts (such as with SSC and Chartwells).
- Print out deposits of insurance from Unified Athletics Eventlink website.
- Review and approve all operations personnel hires and transfers for correct budget accounts to charge.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred and/or at least 5 years of executive level administrative support or office management experience.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Apps (Mail, Calendar, Drive, etc…).
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and time management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of office management and basic accounting procedures as well as technical vocabulary of relevant industry.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Expert in personal integrity, ethical practices, and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and purchasing.
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities.
- Ability to work with conflicting deadlines and exercise good judgment in a variety of situations.
- Ability to effectively meet and interact with diverse groups, work cooperatively with others, and handle stressful situations.
- Ability to use tact, discretion, poise, and diplomacy when representing the CFO and implementing the mission and goals of the school corporation.
- Bilingual Spanish, bicultural, biliterate preferred.
