Contract Length: 12- month
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Technology Services
Basic Function: This position is responsible for supporting all computer equipment and peripherals including troubleshooting, technical support, repair of equipment, and ordering parts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of district technology (workstations, printers, peripherals, etc.).
- Troubleshoot basic layer 1 and layer 2 networking issues.
- Prioritize assigned help-desk tickets and resolve or route to appropriate staff for action and track progress of service and problem resolution.
- Research and resolve technical issues and recommend appropriate interventions/modifications as needed.
- Pick up and deliver equipment to and from sites.
Qualifications:
Knowledge & Experience
- Ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot technical problems.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing hardware problems on a variety of platforms. • Knowledge of current Apple and Microsoft desktop operating systems. • Ability to quickly learn and take advantage of new technologies and concepts. • Ability to learn new applications easily and quickly leverage current application knowledge to identify changes to increase efficiency.
- Ability to read and understand complex computer system documentation. • Multi-task orientation to handle a number of projects at once while remaining flexible to changing requirements and priorities.
- Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, and other directory systems.
- Apple, Dell, HP, and Microsoft Certifications a plus.

Physical Demands:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other technologies and office equipment, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time; kneeling; bending at the waist; lifting; pushing; pulling and carrying equipment, supplies and materials weighing up to 50 pounds; repetitive hand movement and fine coordination to use a computer keyboard; emotional stability to work effectively under pressure and to keep all aspects of the job under control; hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone; seeing to read; prepare and assure the accuracy of documents.
Work Conditions:
- Availability for after-hour meetings with the Director of Technology
- On-call availability for emergencies
- Regular travel between buildings
