South Bend Medical Foundation, a trusted leader in Pathology and Blood services, is seeking a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial planning and reporting processes. This role plays a key part in the month-end and year-end close processes, tax filings, and financial audits, while also contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives.
Successful candidate should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a CPA firm preferred.
- CPA preferred or are actively pursuing certification.
- Experience in, or strong knowledge of, not-for-profit healthcare accounting a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software including NetSuite a plus
- Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and tax regulations.
