Title : MS Assistant Football Coach
Reports to : Athletic Director / Building Principal
The MS Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the football program. The coach must demonstrate strong leadership in player development, sportsmanship, integrity and character development. Qualified candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills. They must demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the skills and strategies of the sport of football as it pertains to interscholastic athletics in Missouri
Responsibilities
- Emphasize the importance of academic excellence and assist in monitoring and maintaining high academic standards for members of the football program.
- Promote the program within the school and community.
- Work cooperatively with other coaches in order to operate a well-balanced athletic program.
- Assist the head coach to ensure that all athletes have valid medical examinations and other required qualifications before they are allowed to practice.
- Engage with the parents of the members of the football program in a positive and constructive manner.
- Develop a relationship with the local youth football program and establish a presence with youth football via camps and clinics.
- Perform other duties related to the position of assistant athletic coach as requested by the high school principal and / or athletic director.
