Responsibilities:
- Maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition by performing yard keeping duties and operating power-driven equipment such as lawn mowers, edgers, and tractors.
- Make minor repairs and report major repair needs to the Director of Building and Grounds, Building Principal, and/or Superintendent when necessary.
- Move furniture and equipment as required for various activities and as directed by the supervisor or administrator.
- Clean and scrub floors and furniture, and operate power-driven equipment such as floor scrubbers to maintain the school buildings in a safe and attractive condition.
- Clean and disinfect toilets, showers, locker room floors, and sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains as needed.
- Possess the ability to paint as needed/requested.
- Comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Operate a variety of power equipment and hand tools related to various jobs.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Building and Grounds, Building Principal, or Superintendent of Schools.
