South Campbellsville Baptist Church located in Campbellsville Kentucky is a multigenerational congregation committed to loving God, loving people, and making disciples. We value meaningful worship, biblical teaching, and community engagement as we seek to glorify God and share the hope of Jesus Christ with the world.
SCBC is seeking candidates for a full time Senior Pastor. We will also consider candidates that are interested in a bi-vocational position. The senior pastor is to provide the primary leadership, teaching and direction of the church in all areas of ministry to fulfill the purpose and vision of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
The pastor shall supervise the teaching ministry of SCBC, publicly preach the Word of God (2 Timothy 4:2), and equip the saints for the work of service (Ephesians 4:11-13). He shall shepherd the flock of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 5: 1-4) and administer the ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism. He also is to oversee along with the deacons, all church discipline matters and the management of conflicts within the church to keep unity in the body, and actively participate in monthly Deacon’s meetings. He is to plan and conduct worship services, develop sermons and plan with music leadership in observance of church ordinances.
The pastor shall be ordained as a minister to preach the gospel and must keep himself from worldly affairs and above reproach in finances and conduct (1 Timothy 3: 1-7; Titus 1:5-9). He must be actively involved in the life of the church outside of regular church meetings. He must reside in the general Taylor County Kentucky area.
South Campbellsville Baptist Church currently has on staff, a part time Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care whose key responsibilities include connecting guests, hospital & funeral care, nursing home & shut-in care and Deacon care & training.
