Job Summary
South Canadian Meat company opening a second store and seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers with their inquiries, process transactions, and promote our products effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. House are typically 3-7 Monday - Friday and 9-2 on Saturdays.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the cash register and handle payments efficiently.
- Provide product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Upsell additional products or services based on customer needs and preferences.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation within the retail environment.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Experience with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Ability to upsell products and demonstrate effective selling techniques.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is beneficial but not required.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
