JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Behavioral Health Tech functions as a member of the Behavioral Health Tech team and provides support for the treatment of clients who have various mental health concerns and substance abuse disorders.
JOB DUTIES:
- Completes admission and discharge tasks for incoming/outgoing clients using an Electronic Medical Records system.
- Conducts headcounts of clients every 15-30 minutes using an Electronic Medical Records system.
- Completes shift notes using an Electronic Medical Records system.
- Maintains the facility by cleaning, sweeping, mopping, restocking, unboxing, and/or emptying trash.
- Transports clients safely and/or runs company errands in various company vehicles.
- Assists clients with needs and other privileges, including laundry, phone calls, and/or special requests from other departments.
- Documents and shares pertinent client information, including progression/regression, based on observation and evaluation in individual and group interactions in order to assist in the treatment process.
- Provides input upon request regarding clients’ wants and/or needs.
- Attends monthly team meetings.
- Meets with supervisors on a regular basis in order to address concerns and/or areas for improvement.
- Communicates effectively with staff, clients and their loved ones, independent contractors, vendors, and/or community partners.
- Continues with educational courses and/or in-services training per established policies and procedures.
- Reports abuse of clients’ rights immediately.
- Performs other capacities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Driver’s License required
- Food Handler’s Certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience working in a similar role preferred
- Must be able to read and write the English language
- Must be able to work at assigned station and in assigned department
- Must be available to work on-call shifts as needed
- Must have great attendance and be reliable, punctual, and show up for work as scheduled
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
