About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate LPN to join our team as a Care Unit Nurse. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct daily nursing activities and care of residents under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or designee.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote a positive physical and psychosocial environment for our residents.
- Work collaboratively with leadership and other staff members to support the Mission and Values of SCBMA.
- Participate in care plan meetings, develop and carry out residents' plans of care, and evaluate resident response to nursing interventions.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate and current SC LPN license.
- At least one year of experience working in geriatric nursing, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems, and IV therapy.
- Skilled in basic life support (BLS), CPR, and proficient in electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to maintain patient, tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff, and visitors.
- Strong communication and motivational skills, including problem resolution in both resident care and employee management situations.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position requiring scheduled work during off-hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays. The ability to lift 50 pounds or more is also required.
