Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the LPN Medical Care Unit, ensuring that all residents receive high-quality care and attention. This includes:
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans for each resident.
- Supervising and directing the nursing staff to ensure they are providing excellent care.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and treatment.
- Collaborating with the Director of Nursing and other healthcare professionals to ensure that residents receive comprehensive care.
- Ensuring that all facility policies and procedures are followed.
- Providing education and training to nursing staff on new policies, procedures and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Current SC LPN license
- Experience working in geriatric nursing, including medication administration, IV therapy and wound care
- Skilled in basic life support (BLS), CPR
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
