Job Summary
South Carolina Baptist Ministries For The Aging is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse to lead our LPN Medical Care Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising nursing staff and ensuring that residents receive high-quality care and attention.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and develop individualized care plans for each resident.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and treatment.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations from DHEC, Fire and Safety, OSHA, Labor Laws, etc.
Requirements
- ~ LPN or RN certificate
- ~ Current SC LPN or RN license
- ~1 yr working in geriatric nursing, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems and experience in IV therapy, wound care, G-tube preferred
- ~ Skilled in basic life support (BLS), CPR
- ~ Excellent communication and leadership skills
- ~ Ability to make sound, independent decisions
- ~ Computer skills including Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
