- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, serving meals, and taking vital signs.
- Responding to resident call lights according to organizational policies and procedures.
- Making regular resident rounds to ensure their needs are met.
- Reporting any observations of resident bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds.
- Keeping resident areas clean and sanitized to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Transporting residents and equipment in vehicles, wheelchairs or walking, and assisting with boarding and exiting.
- Securing safety belts as required and identifying and reporting malfunctioning equipment.
- Providing physical assistance and post mortem care during admission and discharge.
- Participating in resident plan of care and communicating information between physicians, residents, and healthcare staff.
- Reporting and recording all accidents/incidents immediately.
