About Midlands Regional Center
Midlands Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Columbia, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Assures, at the beginning of each shift, that the Campus Support Coordinators obtains coverage levels from all residential units with assistance from the switchboard operator and moves staff, as needed between units to ensure adequate staffing with available resources. Works with residential management to perform this duty. Monitors coverage levels throughout each shift to ensure adequate staffing is maintained.
Assures that Campus Supports Coordinators completes daily log of issues arising on each shift, documenting important events (such as residential staffing levels; residential staff call-ins/OT/holdovers; issues regarding consumer illness, and/or behavioral episodes; physical plant issues; etc..) Sends communication to appropriate management staff for follow-up on noted deficiencies.
As Campus Supports Director, notifies Assistant Facility Administrator and/or Facility Administrator of pertinent issues impacting the various shifts in accordance with ICF regulations, DDSN directives & facility policies. Obtains documentation from staff as needed regarding critical incidences, ANE reports, and other reports as needed. Ensure that PRRs are completed for staff injuries, property destruction and etc.. per policy.
In the capacity of Director of Campus Supports, schedule and attend periodic meetings with Campus Support Coordinators, switchboard operators and executive staff members to facilitate follow up of information, re: facility procedures, events, policies. Attends training as appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned.
Provides supervision /direction of the Campus Supports service at Midlands Center ensuring adherence to ICF regulations, DDSN directives, & facility policies. Participates as a member of the Executive Staff and others as deemed appropriate by the Facility Administrator/designee. Facilitate the Risk Management Committee.
Serves as a member of the Executive Committee, Emergency Operation Center, Emergency Preparedness Team, Facilitate the Risk management Meetings and participate in additional activities/duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Completes other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Preferred Qualifications
Agency Additional Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree and two years experience in residential care or an Associates Degree and two years experience or a high school diploma and 4 years experience.
