- Under limited supervision of the Director of Technology, serves as the Project Manager for the agency's contraband interdiction systems.
- This position is responsible for providing technical oversight, contraband system performance validation, vendor relationship management, and compliance to ensure the successful deployment and ongoing effectiveness of SCDC's contraband systems.
- This position has responsibility for planning, designing, and implementing programs, studies, or other work to assess the effectiveness of contraband Interdiction strategies and technologies.
- Provides vendor management and oversight for all cis vendors which includes monitoring vendor performance to guarantee the timely and effective delivery of contraband systems and services.
- Develops, executes, and manages all facets of system acceptance testing processes, including work with Industry experts to ensure systems are fully functional and positioned to adapt to technological changes.
- Coordinates the scheduling and completion of work with agency staff and contractors.
- Negotiates overall project schedules, priorities, reporting relationships, workload and resource allocations with institutions' management and other stakeholders.
- Manages and analyzes data captured from the contraband systems and produces detailed reports and documentation.
- Prepares budget estimates, justifications, purchases, and approval documents.
- Evaluates industry changes and research new and evolving contraband Detection, interdiction, and investigative technologies and related applications. Other duties as assigned.
