Whitten Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Clinton, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Working alongside the Lead Plumber, this position assists in the installation, repairs, and maintenance needs of the plumbing systems at Whitten Regional Center. This position also supports the Maintenance Department by assisting with work orders and projects outside of plumbing.

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to read and write as well as communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to understand and relate positively to consumers, staff, and guests in a professional manner. Knowledge of safety practices in plumbing and building maintenance. Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials and supplies used in plumbing. Skill in the use of various trade tools and equipment. Ability to understand and follow instructions.

- Assists the Lead Plumber in the operation of plumbing equipment as well as completes minor plumbing repairs independently.
- Operates all plumbing tools, machinery, and equipment successfully and efficiently.
- Maintains inventory count of most frequently needed supplies and assists in ensuring appropriate stock levels. Makes equipment and supply requests as needed.
- Assists in completion of center-wide work orders for plumbing as well as other areas of the department to include HVAC, Electrical, Painting, and Carpentry.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
