This posting seeks to fill two (2) positions.
Whitten Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Clinton, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Under the general supervision of the Mental Health Professional Ill, performs semi-routine or diversified counseling and case management functions for individuals with behavioral and/or emotional mental health issues. Assists in developing and implementing treatment plans. Guides clients in the development of skills or strategies towards achieving and maintaining good mental health.

A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field or a bachelor's degree in related social science area and 2 years relevant work experience.

- Provide extra support and counseling to new admissions or consumers' who are exhibiting behavioral outbursts.
- Role models, trains and addresses staffs concerns regarding behavior support plans (BSP).
- Provides necessary therapeutic and psychological services needed on the weekends bi-weekly. Participates in the on-call rotation.
- Assist the Mental Health Professional-Il in off-campus positive reinforcement outings. This might include completing trip forms, ordering consumer's funds, and accompanying Mental Health Professional-II/III on the scheduled outing.
- Other duties as required.
