Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is locatedat the Department of Mental Health, Anderson-Oconee-Pickens Mental Health Center, 1 Linwa Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621. This position provides Information Technology assistance for all of the three-county catchment areas of the Anderson-Oconee-Pickens Mental Health Center.
Under limited supervision, provides a variety of center wide tasks involving office automation and technological communications for AOP Mental Health Center. This includes, but is not limited to, network control, systems installation and maintenance information processing functions, hardware and software applications, and user assistance and training. Sets up user access within the network. Serves as a member of the System Administration Team with focus on hardware and software application. Must have the ability travel between the Anderson, Oconee, Pickens catchment areas.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
State & Agency Requirements: A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.
Additional Agency Requirements
This position requires - Knowledge of network services and data communications. Knowledge of methods of network design and equipment configuration requirements. Knowledge of office automation systems, information processing operations, fiber optics, micro/minicomputer hardware/software and multiplexers as they relate to the latest trends in voice and data networks connectivity. Ability to present technical and non-technical reports in a clear and concise manner. Ability to establish effective working relationships with vendors, management staff and users. Must possess valid SC Driver's License.
