Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Charleston-Dorchester, 2100 Charlie Hall Blvd, Charleston, SC 29414.
To provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to adult patients of the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center under general supervision of the Medical Director.
Provides psychiatric medication assessments to consumers of the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center while working closely with the treatment team to ensure integrated delivery of services.
Engages in the multidisciplinary treatment planning and assessment of consumers by attending team meetings and agency wide staffing. Prepare and submit accurate weekly productivity reports.
Complete all paperwork.in a timely manner and in accordance with QA current standards and in accordance with the EMR system.
Participate in monthly physicians' meetings and other meetings scheduled in the administration of clinical duties.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from an approved school of medicine and completion of four years residency in psychiatry with two years' experience in psychiatric programs. Psychiatric Board Certified/Eligible. Must be Licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
