Job Purpose And Duties
Performs administrative activities and support functions for a large state park. Provides both routine and specialized administrative support.
Associate's degree in Business, Administration, Park Management or related field with (1) year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Full-time, 40 hours per week rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.

Job Purpose And Duties
Performs administrative activities and support functions for a large state park. Provides both routine and specialized administrative support.
- Manages the park office to include but not limited to, hiring, supervising, training, and scheduling office staff and hosts.
- Completes all A2 new hire packages and terminations for all locations on the park. Completes payroll as needed for A1 and A2 staff. Maintains all related files
- Prepares the parks fiscal records to include daily and weekly operational reports and daily bank deposits. Processes all purchase orders for the park and sends in all procurement card paperwork for the park. Tracks budgets. Maintains related files.
- Receives and disseminates incoming correspondence and screens that which needs to be handled personally by a supervisor. Forwards the remainder to appropriate staff members.
- Performs continuous public relations activities with an emphasis on quality customer service. Coaches the office staff on customer service and emphasizes the importance of quality customer service with each office employee.
- Helps maintain a clean and safe office environment.
- Practices and promotes teamwork within Myrtle Beach State Park, the park office, and the agency.
- Maintains office supply stock room and orders office supplies for the park.

Additional Requirements
- Ability to physically perform assigned duties. Position requires medium to heavy lifting, walking and standing on uneven terrain. Ability to operate a variety of office machines and equipment. Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm and a working knowledge of current word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry software.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, merchandising and applicable sales principles and practices. Knowledge of applicable terminology and research practices. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies and organizational functions. Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals. Ability to deal tactfully and cordially with the public and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to train other employees. Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
- Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License.
