Job Responsibilities
Utilizes the HMMS program processing all issued parts, mechanic labor, service tickets, the opening and closing of work orders, inventory maintenance and processes monthly reports meeting all deadlines. Follows the Departments procurement policies and procedures in purchasing parts and materials. Utilizes the SCEIS system preparing shopping carts, purchase orders, goods receipts, etc. to purchase needed parts and materials. Serves as a credit card holder for Dorchester Maintenance and makes purchases as needed. Serves as credit card liaison for two employees. Compiles credit card statements and verifies accuracy. Establishes a professional relationship with vendors to include soliciting bids, billing inquiries, accounts payable and processing of all related documentation. Maintains the repair shops detailed parts inventory (.950 and .990). Maintains clean and orderly parts room. Obtains SDS and compiles the listings for all facility books and foremen trucks. Monitors and updates SDS as needed and in compliance for QMT Reviews. Enters daily work reports, employee leave and employee hours in HMMS. Updates the Accountability of PPE report weekly. Maintains an accurate filing system. Processes and executes all repair shop associated reports and reviews all paperwork for accuracy. Receives and directs to appropriate personnel telephone callers, visitors to the repair shop office and radio transmittals. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and six (6) months of work experience directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
Physical Requirement: The physical demands for the essential functions of this position include sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods and working on a computer. This position requires working in an office environment, warehouse environment, and/or outside in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside of normal work schedule, especially during inclement weather and/or other departmental-related emergencies.
A motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
