The Role: Finance Manager
As the Finance Manager at SCNHC, you’ll be a key player in keeping our financial operations running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work closely with our Director of Business Operations, CEO, and Executive Team to ensure that our accounting processes are on track, and that our financial operations are aligned with our mission. What You’ll Do:
Accounting & Financial Operations:
- Be the liaison with our CPA firm to support all bookkeeping activities.
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Handle travel reimbursements for staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Grant Management:
- Monitor spending and budget management for federal grants.
- Manage the financial side of grant-funded projects, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Process monthly reimbursements from federal grants.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure sufficient financial documentation is for grant reporting.
- Prepare financial reports for funders and ensure compliance with submission deadlines.
- Manage the financial aspects of subgrant programs and partnerships.
Procurement:
- Manage procurement process and ensure compliance.
Contracts:
- Manage vendor and customer contract process.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a financial role (preferably in a non-profit).
- A strong understanding of all facets of accounting and financial operations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Teams, Word, and Outlook.
- A passion for nature and the outdoors!

Job Location
The office is in Belton, SC. Seeking for a candidate in an Upstate, Midland or Lowcountry area of South Carolina. While this is a mostly remote working position, the candidate must be able to attend occasional in-person staff meetings in the Belton office.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
