Apply today!  Facility: East Cooper Medical Center Location: Mount Pleasant, SC Department: ObstetricsPosition Type: Full time (36 hours) Work Schedule: Wednesday- Friday 5a-5p Position SummaryUnder the direction of a Registered Nurse, this role involves providing clinical care to post-acute surgical female patients during their post-surgical recovery. Key responsibilities include:     • Obtaining and documenting vital signs     • Monitoring intake and output     • Assisting with ambulation and position changes     • Reporting abnormal findings to the RN     • Adhering to infection control and patient safety standards     • Maintaining and stocking patient rooms     • Performing equipment maintenance     • Providing care to patients ranging from infants to geriatric, unless otherwise noted     • Collaborating with the healthcare team to meet department and hospital goals     • Delivering quality care based on established practice standards and guidelines     • Floating to other comparable units as needed QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.      • High school diploma or equivalent     • One of the following:         ○ Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Course & Certification         ○ Completion of a Nursing Fundamentals Course in an accredited RN program         ○ EMT Certification         ○ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)     • Current BCLS certification     • Preferred:         ○ Previous hospital experience         ○ Phlebotomy course completion
