Facility: East Cooper Medical Center Location: Mount Pleasant, SC Department: ObstetricsPosition Type: Full time (36 hours) Work Schedule: Wednesday- Friday 5a-5p
Position SummaryUnder the direction of a Registered Nurse, this role involves providing clinical care to post-acute surgical female patients during their post-surgical recovery.
Key responsibilities include:
• Obtaining and documenting vital signs
• Monitoring intake and output
• Assisting with ambulation and position changes
• Reporting abnormal findings to the RN
• Adhering to infection control and patient safety standards
• Maintaining and stocking patient rooms
• Performing equipment maintenance
• Providing care to patients ranging from infants to geriatric, unless otherwise noted
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to meet department and hospital goals
• Delivering quality care based on established practice standards and guidelines
• Floating to other comparable units as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One of the following:
○ Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Course & Certification
○ Completion of a Nursing Fundamentals Course in an accredited RN program
○ EMT Certification
○ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Current BCLS certification
• Preferred:
○ Previous hospital experience
○ Phlebotomy course completion
