Job Title: Medical Scribe at Riverside Women's Care
General Summary: The Scribe will accompany physicians throughout their workday, documenting patient encounters in real-time using the electronic health record (EHR) system and established templates.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Support the mission, purpose, and objectives of Novant Health.
Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Familiarize yourself with compliance responsibilities, following relevant laws and corporate policies, and report any compliance issues promptly.
Document patient encounters accurately during office visits.
Review and ensure the accuracy of medical documentation.
Organize and manage medical documents within the EHR system.
Create referral letters for physicians.
Assist physicians with electronic prescribing.
Support other office functions as needed.
Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of a medical office assistant or medical assisting program preferred.
Certifications: CMA and CPR certifications required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physician practice setting.
