Position Summary
Full-time Occupational Therapist to join our team, providing care in both an Acute Care Hospital and an Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital. The ideal candidate will work with adult patients in both settings, assessing and treating a wide range of conditions, including orthopedic, spine, neurological, cardiac, and post-surgical recovery.
In the acute care hospital, you will work with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and medical conditions, including orthopedic fractures, spine conditions, and complex medical cases such as stroke and respiratory disorders. In the inpatient rehabilitation setting, you will provide intensive therapy to patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputations, and neurological or cardiac rehabilitation needs.

This role provides evaluation and direct patient care for those individuals referred by their physicians requiring occupational therapy services, whether on an inpatient or outpatient basis. Staff OT's establish the plan of care and goals of their patients rehabilitative care. Staff OT's must be skilled in the use of all equipment utilized in patient care, provide timely and accurate patient evaluation and treatment documentation and correspond regularly with attending physicians. OT utilizes knowledge of age appropriate guidelines to provide care for the pediatric. With experience treating patients with developmental disabilities, autism and utilizing sensory integration techniques. Education/Other Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with bachelors and/or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. • New graduates accepted, but require at least one year professional experience prior to acting as clinical supervisor. • Current license from the South Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners. • Must have current BLS certification
