East Cooper Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists is seeking a Patient Services Representative to work a minimum of 2 days per week (Tuesday & Thursday) with the potential to add additionalhours as needed by the practice. This would bean idealposition for a student looking to gain experience in a medical office setting, or someone with a flexible schedule who is open to picking up shifts as needed! Job Title: Patient Services Representative Job Classification: PRN/Per Diem – 15-20 hours per week on average Job Environment: Medical office position responsible for front office processes in the physician practice
Schedule:7:30 – 5:00, Tuesday & Thursday –Flexibility and additionalhours highly likely
Location:Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island, SC
Responsibilities:
Schedules patient appointments and manages check-in/check-out processes.
Provides welcoming experience and top-notch customer service.
Collects co-pays and post charges.
Charge entry and patient balance processing.
Distributes information to patients regardingoffice policies, procedures, information about the practice, etc.
Explain and enroll patients in the patient portal.
Education
Required: High school diploma/GED.
Preferred: Completion of or currently enrolled in a medical office assistant program
Experience
Must have 2 years of experience working in an administrative or scheduling capacity in an office setting
Must be skilled in MS Office Suite, including Excel.
Exposure to a medical records management system and/or scheduling software preferred.
