RN Cardiac Rehab PRN Days Position Summary:
Provides direct patient care in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Monitors patients during exercise sessions. Nursing responsibilities focus on the preventive and restorative healthcare needs of the cardiovascular patient. Provides patient education on disease entities, cardiac risk factors, behavior modification. Communicates with the Medical Director of Cardiology and the patient’s physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including laboratory tests and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient’s condition and response to treatment. Participates in performance and quality improvement activities.
RN Cardiac Rehab PRN Days Position Requirements:
Education:
1. Current State of South Carolina nursing license.
2. “Must have South Carolina Registered Nurse license or multistate licensure from another Compact State within the proscribed guidelines of the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.”
Experience:
1. Two or more years recent experience in critical care/cardiac care
Other Qualifications:
1. Current BLS certification from American Heart Association only.
2. Current ACLS certification from American Heart Association only.
