Position Summary
Coordinates the integration of Social Services functions into the patient care, discharge and home planning processes with other hospital departments, external service organizations, agencies and health care facilities.
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards to social service activities.
Utilizes knowledge of population appropriate guidelines to care for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient.

Mater's Degree of Social work required.
Must be certified to practice as a Licensed Social Worker in the state of South Carolina.
Significant experience required as a Social Worker, preferably in a health care environment.
Must have effective interpersonal skills for working with patients and their family members.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required to communicate in a clear and concise manner with patients and families, physicians, staff, public, administration and outside agencies.
