Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to provide support, skills, and information to individuals in our psychiatric urgent care. In this role, you will utilize your lived experience to assist adults in navigating mental health or substance abuse challenges.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma (HS) or GED.
- Lived experience with mental health or substance abuse disorder.
- Must meet the requirements for DMH.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support, skills, and information to adults in an outpatient urgent care setting.
- Utilize lived experience to assist consumers in navigating mental health or substance abuse challenges.
- Collaborate with community agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for adults.
- Offer consultation and educational services to consumers.
- Advocate for the needs of consumer within the community and various systems.
ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid driver’s license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
