Introduction:
The Career Services Lead, supervised by the SCHRA WIOA Director, coordinates the policies and procedures to administer the WIOA program throughout the Southern Middle District to ensure high quality services for customer and program related needs.
Working Conditions:
Flexible working hours (Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m., but this position may require some evening and weekend work hours). Normal sitting and movement in an office environment. May require occasional moving up to /-30 pounds, bending, stooping, or climbing. The work will be performed mainly indoors in an office environment, but there may be exposure to tobacco smoke, dirt, dust, and foul odors. Requires travel to counties within the thirteen county service area for meetings and other job-related activities. Will require some travel for training outside the thirteen county area and occasional overnight travel.
Essential Duties of the position:
Assist the WIOA Director in the application of the policies and procedures of the WIOA program; reporting, tracking, and monitoring.
Assist with staff training and provide technical assistance as needed.
Providing constructive feedback to team staff on data in Jobs4TN and Paycom.
Providing input to the Director on the program performance data, monthly.
Assist Director with ensuring budget data for vouchers is correct and accurately entered into customers Jobs4TN data file.
Identify and facilitate the timely resolution of program customer complaints, problems and other issues.
Communicate with Director and One Stop Operator on program related operations.
Coordinated with Director efficient and effective operations at the American Job Centers.
Perform other duties assigned by Director.
Adheres to Agencys confidentiality policy, professional ethics and standards, demonstrating work habits, which comply with Agency Personnel Policies and Procedures.
BS in social services or related field; preferred
High School Graduate with 5 years of relatable experience required
Valid Tennessee Drivers License
Automobile Liability Insurance
Satisfactory background check
Required knowledge and abilities:
Knowledge of special needs of families and aware of ways to effectively communicate and assist them.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and make mathematical computations and tabulations accurately.
Ability to establish and maintain accurate records.
Ability to use a computer and enter data in an accurate manner and in accordance with established time lines.
Ability to travel extensively within area as assigned.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; stoop; bend; walk; talk; hear; use hands to grip; reach with hands and arms, required to stand or walk on uneven surfaces; climb stairs and lift up to 30lbs daily
