Job Summary
">The Substitute Educator will assist and cooperate with teaching staff in carrying out developmentally appropriate activities for students in a Head Start classroom. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist teachers with daily lesson plans and implement instructional strategies that promote learning; ">
- Help prepare and serve meals and snacks to students, ensuring their nutritional needs are met; ">
- Transport students safely to and from classrooms and participate in field trips as needed; ">
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety protocols; ">
- Monitor student behavior and interact with parents and staff to promote the well-being of our children. ">
Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ">
- Ability to read and understand orientation manuals for each component area; ">
- Agreement to standards of conduct and signing of conduct agreement; ">
- Obtaining initial medical exam and TB assessment within 30 days of employment; ">
- Passing background screen, child abuse/neglect screen, drug screen, and random drug testing; ">
- Understand responsibility of being a mandated reporter for Child Abuse and Neglect. ">
Working Conditions:
">You will be working in a dynamic environment with varying conditions, including exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, travel on main highways, side streets, and rural roads, and risk of communicable diseases. You must be able to lift 55 pounds frequently, stand for long periods, bend, kneel, squat, run, and sit in child-sized chairs or on the floor.
