Community Development Specialist

Examples of Work Performed:

· Assist with the Community Development Block Grants, Economic Development Administration Grants, Appalachian Regional Commission Grants, and other grant projects as required under the contract between the city or county and SCTDD.

· Assist in the preparation of grant applications including conducting public meetings, writing convincing narratives, and budgeting.

· Researches the economic, social, and demographic status of the South Central Tennessee Development District and responds to data requests from within the SCTDD region.

· Assists in the planning, preparation, and administration of specialty community development projects for local governments such as the CDBG Disaster Projects.

· Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Degree from 4 year college or university in public administration, business administration or related field.
