What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Assistant (12 Months) position at South Coast Educational Collaborative?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist students therapeutically in both therapeutic classrooms and during community and vocational experiences.
Ability to work as a productive member of an instructional team to maximize student outcomes
Provide individual and small group counseling to students under the supervision of a licensed or certified provider
Write professional reports, develop Individual Education Plans (IEP) goals, maintain data collection under the supervision of a licensed or certified provider, employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goals
Work with expert consultants to identify and/or develop effective support systems for students and families
Provide case management for students and families
Provide consultation to staff to develop and implement classroom strategies and to integrate therapy into other disciplines.
Ability to recognize the need for and to provide assistance to students in an appropriately active milieu setting
Ability to recognize and ask for support when necessary
Responsibility to stay up to date with current therapeutic practices
Participate in Deep Learning and Collaborative Problem Solving programming
Remain current and knowledgeable regarding Abuse/Neglect Reporting as part of SCEC team
Other student-related assigned responsibilities as needed, including one to one student assistance
