JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Participation in a mentor program that focuses on PBIS, SCERTS, & Deep Learning approaches Work as a productive member of the instructional team to maximize student outcomesRecognize the need for and provide assistance to students in an appropriately active classroom settingMaintain data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goalsMay be responsible for working with students in the community in a variety of transition related domains (employment, post-secondary education, recreation, daily living skills, etc.) and during these activities collect ongoing transitional data.Assume classroom responsibilities in absence of teacherParticipation in daily duties, as assigned by teacher(s), between the high school classrooms at the Gallishaw School, including Satellite CampusesOther student-related assigned responsibilities as needed, including 1:1 assistance and inclusion opportunitiesProvide support to students in community and work settingsAn understanding of high school academic concepts to be able to help students achieve their academic goalsEMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Participation in mentoring/training sessions across Collaborative programsOpportunities for job mobility: on-going career counseling; training opportunities; degree/licensure programs; other professional development opportunitiesReferences requiredPost Job offer Physical ExaminationSouth Coast Educational Collaborative encourages diverse applicants to apply
