Under the direction of the Associate Dean of General Education, the adjunct instructor of computer literacy will provide online instruction for Computer Literacy courses. Instructors update maintain online course, support students, communicate with faculty lead on subject matter, and evaluate student's progress. Instructors are required to ensure the safety and security of their classrooms and effectively use class time. This position is fully remote.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collect all assessment data related to student learning outcomes.
2. Maintain an equitable system of student evaluation based on sound practices in accordance with the course syllabus.
3. Return all graded assignments in a reasonable time frame according to South College Faculty Expectations.
4. Project an appropriate professional image.
5. Enforce all South College rules and policies.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a master’s degree in relevant field (instructional technology, computer science) or a master's degree in another field plus completion of 18 graduate level semester hours in a relevant field. *Terminal degree preferred
Prior teaching experience preferred in an online environment
Proficient in the written and oral communication of the English language
Proficient in Microsoft Word, EXCEL, and PowerPoint
