Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) - Full Time Faculty/Instructor Description
South College invites applications for the position of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Instructor at South College - Knoxville campus. We are searching for a team-oriented individual with excellent communication and organization skills.
Responsibilities
- Provides instruction in DMS didactic classes both on campus and asynchronous/synchronous learning.
- Travel to clinical sites is required.
- Coordinates learning modules for active learning/participation to enhance student learning.
- Provide student tutoring, as required.
- Maintain ARDMS Credentials.
- Uphold high standards of teaching, scholarships, and service.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director or Imaging Sciences Department Chair.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree Required; master’s degree preferred.
- ARDMS Certification in Abdomen, OBGYN, and Vascular.
Experience
- Must possess proficiency in curriculum development, instructional methodologies, evaluation and assessment, supervision, instruction, education, and counseling.
- Previous experience with online learning platform (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
- Minimum of two (2) years full time professional experience in the discipline.
