South College Indianapolis learning site located in Indianapolis, IN, is conducting a search for the position of nursing faculty (instructor/assistant professor/associate professor; commensurate with experience) for the South College School of Nursing. The position will have primary teaching responsibilities in the clinical setting; however, may cross prelicensure nursing programs depending on educational level. This is a full-time, on-ground campus-based position. Full-time clinical faculty members are responsible for 36 clinical hours (primarily 12-hour shifts) at one of our clinical partner locations. The days of the week may vary from quarter to quarter. The remaining four hours will be used for clinical prep, grading, and mid/final evaluations. During periods in the quarter, there are no clinicals, the clinical faculty may assist in labs with checkoffs, setup, and instruction.

Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain professional standards of practice in teaching in the clinical settings.
- Meet South College standards for clinical experiential learning.
- Function as a part of South College and South College School of Nursing faculty.
- Participate in meetings, projects, recruiting, and committee work.
- Prepare and implement teaching and evaluation strategies for students' engagement in the nursing profession.
- Support student success through mentoring, tutoring, and advising.
- Maintain currency in education and nursing knowledge and application through continuing education activities.
- Contribute to the School of Nursing and South College evaluation processes to measure outcomes.
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing preferred; Bachelor of Science in Nursing will be considered.
- Two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse
- Formal education in teaching and learning principles for adult education preferred but not required
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Indiana or one of the eNLC compact states.
