***This is an ONSITE only position located in our Delray, FL location. Relocation not available as this time***

South County Mental Health Center is lookin for Program Director

As the Program Director for the Navigate program you will oversee and manage all aspects of the program aimed at providing early intervention and support for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis.

DUTIES & RSPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the daily operations of the NAVIGATE program, ensuring alignment with best practices for early psychosis intervention
  • Monitor treatment plans to ensure proper assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for individuals with a first episode of psychosis
  • Supervise a multidisciplinary team, including clinicians, case managers, research assistant, and peer support specialists
  • Lead weekly team meetings to discuss client progress and challenges
  • Provide ongoing professional development and training to staff on best practices and research in psychosis treatment
  • Review and follow up on referrals for timely, appropriate grogram placement
  • Screen potential participants for eligibility based on established criteria
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure smooth participant transitions and alignment with treatment goals
  • Provide crisis intervention, as needed
  • Develop and lead community outreach efforts to raise awareness of early psychosis symptoms, and the program's services
  • Build and maintain relationships with local mental health organizations, schools, hospitals, and other service Providers to promote the program and increase referrals sources
  • Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care for clients, including referrals and linkages to external services as needed
  • Ensure that all research activities are conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines, institutional review board (IRB) protocols, and regulatory standards
  • Provide oversight for research staff, ensuring that the study adheres to timelines, protocols, and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with research teams, and external partners to gather and analyze data to advance understanding of psychosis treatment and outcomes
  • Coordinate with funding agencies, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and meeting research milestones
  • Ensure that documentation for all admissions, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharges meet clinical, regulatory, and programmatic standards
  • Generate monthly census reports to track participant numbers, progress, and outcomes
  • Prepare quarterly reports to track program outcomes, analyze trends, assess the program's effectiveness, and highlight areas for improvement
  • Report on program progress to leadership, managing entity, and other stakeholders
  • Any other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Business/Supervisory (Management principles, regulations, laws, funding, budgeting, etc.)

  • Familiar with the Baker's and MarchmanAct
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret and abide by confidentiality laws, abuse reporting guidelines
  • Knowledge of client rights requirements and ability abide by a cod of ethics and practice standards
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with program evaluation, data an analysis, and reporting

Medical/Mental Health (Counseling, case management, client care, psychiatric, nursing, etc.)

  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in the treatment of psychosis and early intervention
  • Intermediate to advanced counseling skills

Written & Verbal Communication (Forms completed, letters composed, policies developed; exchange of information counseling, etc.)

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment environment

Function, Specialized, & Technical (Office skills, PC, typing, programming, bookkeeping, accounting, claims processing, maintenance, etc.)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, presentations and communications
  • Experience with clinicalsoftware for patient records
  • Ability to train new staff, supervise and manage clinical treatment team

Analytical & Problem Solving (Research, analysis, calculations, decision or recommendations made)

  • Knowledge of evidence-Base practices in the treatment of psychosis and early intervention
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Posses skills in assessment and treatment planning
  • Ability to use non-violent crisis intervention techniques to safely de-escalate situations as needed

Licenses & Certifications (which are directly job related and required for all in the position)

  • Valid Driver's license and must be insurable
  • Active licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, PhD) or equivalent in the state of Florida is preferred

Working Conditions

  • OSHA Class III

Education & Experience

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field fro an accredited college, university, or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mental health service, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role, preferably in a clinical or community mental health setting

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Licensed Practitioner
  • A Doctoral degree in a related field is a plus
  • Experience with first episode psychosis programs or early intervention services strongly preferred
