Starting Hourly Rate: $16.07 per hour, depending upon education and experience, GD
POSITION PURPOSE: This is a part-time, non-benefited position. This position is primarily responsible for grounds maintenance and snow removal. Responsibilities include:
POSITION PURPOSE: This is a part-time, non-benefited position. This position is primarily responsible for grounds maintenance and snow removal. Responsibilities include:
- Removing snow and/or remedying slippery areas to assure safe movement of campus community and visitors
- Grounds work consisting of mowing, edging, watering, landscape maintenance, etc.
- Proactively report safety and ADA issues on campus grounds
- Assist maintenance team in general maintenance activities on campus
- Other projects as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:

- grounds maintenance duties
- security procedures
Ability to:
- follow oral and written directions
- work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- operate required equipment, a variety of motorized vehicles, and hand and power tools
- perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. or more, physical labor including pulling and pushing
- establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships, interacting in a supportive manner with students, faculty, staff and the public
- provide excellent customer service
COMMENTS: Work Hours are day shift with some variation. Occasional weekend and holiday work may be required.
