The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting various issues to ensure the upkeep or repair of manufacturing equipment to keep the plant in peak operational status. Primary Responsibilities
- Has direct influence and control of plant efficiency by improving plant emergency downtime
- Has direct influence and control of maintenance material and inventory
- Maintains a clean shop and sanitary conditions
- Participates in routine on-call schedule
- Responsible for maintaining equipment files
- Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed to support the team and overall organizational goals.
- Be a good steward of company resources
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Effectively communicate with others by listening, speaking, and writing.
- Advanced math skills
- Must be able to work from schematic drawings and document process changes.
- Must have ability to weld with both a wire feed and stick welder
- Ability to troubleshoot a PLC circuit
- Must be able to diagnose plant operation problems as related to maintenance influences.
- Comply with SDSP’s Safe Quality Food (SQF) food safety program and polices.
- Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed to support the team and overall organizational goals.
Physical Requirements
