Description:
Assist in Habitat Related activities, managing grasslands, forested areas, food plots, public use facilities and water systems.

General Requirements:
Incumbent will need to acquire a Class A CDL drivers license and South Dakota pesticide applicators license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ideal candidate has experience in noxious weed control, heavy equipment operations, farm and ranch experience.

Knowledge of:

• basic habitat knowledge;
• noxious weed control;
• heavy equipment operation and repair;
• arm and ranch experience;
• prescribed fire;
• basic maintenance of equipment.

Ability to:

• handle chemicals and equipment safely;
• demonstrate a high level of safety awareness for self and others;
• diagnose vehicle and equipment malfunctions;
• obtain prescribed burning certifications;
• work independently and with a team.
