Position Summary
The Prospect Management Graduate Administrative Assistant helps execute instrumental support to enable the success of our overall fundraising operations and our prospect research and portfolio strategy systems and processes in support of SDSU Foundation. As a member of the team, the Prospect Management Graduate Administrative Assistant assists with research duties, technical writing, data maintenance, and other departmental tasks.

Work Schedule
This assistantship requires a commitment of 20 hours per week and is based in Brookings, SD. The work schedule may vary based on class schedule.
Typical Physical Demands
Requires sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and some lifting. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone, and other office and/or clerical equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Uphold SDSU Foundation Standards
- Responsible for upholding the standards of the SDSU Foundation especially pertaining to quality control and other elements that impact relationships with donors and use of data and information
- Help research prospective donors in alignment with fundraising priorities using information available through our donor database, wealth screening services, and online search tools
- Verify the validity of research through third-party services and update appropriate information in the database
- Draft donor profiles using the information found during the research process.
- Serve as a user of the database and support regular database maintenance processes
- Collaborate with team members to review data sets supporting prospect management needs and functions to optimize data cleanliness
- Occasionally generate and review reports within the database.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet the organization’s needs
