South Dakota State University (SDSU) is currently seeking a temporary Laboratory Program Assistant with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to join the lab of Dr. Darci Fink in our Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics Department. This position has an anticipated end date of August 22, 2026. Job Responsibilities This position involves designing and conducting experiments, interpreting data, and preparing figures for publication. Other responsibilities include maintaining lab equipment and training undergraduate students. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Knowledge of :
- Lymphatic vessel literature
- Methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of advanced immunofluorescence microscopy, transgenic mouse genetics, mammalian cell culture, and anatomy
- Basic principles, practices, and procedures of designing and interpreting laboratory experiments, including relevant statistics, replicates, and controls
- Safe laboratory practices including experience working in BSL-2
