South Dakota State University (SDSU) Student Life Building Services is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a part time Senior Building Maintenance Worker within our University Housing department. Job Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to provide carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general maintenance services to repair Housing and Residential Life buildings. To be successful as a Senior Building Maintenance Worker, candidates should be self-motivated, excel in customer service and practice strong attention to detail. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Knowledge of :
- Methods and practices used in carpentry.
- Basic plumbing
- HVAC systems
- Basic electrical
- Paints and coatings
Skill & Ability to :
Required License : Valid driver’s license is required. Comments : SDSU is a tobacco free environment. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check. It is the policy of the University to maintain a drug-free environment and to thereby establish, promote, and maintain a safe and healthy working and learning environment for employees and students. This position is subject to South Dakota State University’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy 4 : 14. Benefits : This position is eligible for prorated leave and holiday pay.
