South Dakota Trade is currently recruiting a Program Coordinator to assist in the rapid growth of the association’s activities by providing essential support to team members and to ensure flawless execution on a wide variety of events and activities. The position is ideally based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the following activities:
Office administration and board support
Ensuring that the office functions to a high level of productivity and harmony is critical.
• Manage all meeting logistics for both internal and external meetings.
• Serve as the liaison between trade association staff and key stakeholders, providing information, answering questions, and responding to requests.
• Provide updates and maintenance to the association’s databases and communication tools; and
• Transcribe and maintain all notes for quarterly board meetings and semi-annual advisory committee meetings.
Event management
Events are a crucial part of South Dakota Trade’s identity.
• Coordinate all event logistics - in coordination with vendors, partners, and clients - for South Dakota Trade’s hallmark events, executive education seminars, board meetings, and in-bound trade missions.
Travel planning and logistics
Trade missions present South Dakota to the world.
• Research and coordinate all travel logistics for out-bound trade missions, including flight arrangements, hotel accommodations, and on-the-ground transportation.
Special projects
Helping to foster innovation by addressing unique challenges and exploring new opportunities.
• Assist in special projects, as assigned, by the association’s leadership team and/or board chair.
