As a School Counselor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic achievement, personal and social development, and career planning. You will work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students on various issues such as academic performance, behavioral problems, mental health concerns, and career planning
- Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and needs
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students' social-emotional well-being
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to address student needs effectively
- Assist in crisis intervention when necessary
- Advocate for students' rights and access to resources
- Organize and conduct workshops on topics related to mental health, bullying prevention, study skills, etc.
