Hiring for remainder of the 2024/2025 school year with the possibility of extending into the 2025/2026 school year.

 

This position will be Monday through Friday at 28.75 hours per week. The pay rate is between $17.28 and $19.75 per hour and dependent on certification status and previous experience. While this position does not come with health insurance benefits, we do offer paid time off/earned sick time

 

 

 

Summary:  The instructional paraprofessional supports and assists the teaching staff with administering instruction, tutoring and helps with student assessments 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with individual student assessments at teacher’s request
  • Assist in small or large group pupil instruction under teacher direction
  • Tutor pupils at teacher’s request
  • Work with assigned classroom teachers to set up a weekly schedule to assist students
  • Communicate weekly with assigned classroom teachers on lesson plans and student progress
  • May be asked by the building Principal to substitute teach in a classroom when other subs are not available
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings during school hours  Before and after school staff meetings are optional
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

 Education and/or Experience:

Required: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree 
  • Teaching Certification



Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret communication including emails, letters, spreadsheet and forms  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community, regulatory agencies or staff members

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate basic mathematical formulas; add and subtract totals; multiply and divide; determine percentages and decimals; spatial aptitude to inspect length and weight of objects 

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Position involves frequent repetitive action on a keyboard
